British set time to pull out while US is still in Denial
The BBC reported today that UK troops will start leaving Bosra 45 days after Coalition forces turn over authority to the Muthanna province. Those joining the UK pull out include Japan and Austrailia. The Muthanna province is the largest of five in south east of Iraq.
Meanwhile, the Republicans dinking around Congress debating HR861 and HR868, two resolutions that simply state, "Declaring that the United States will prevail in the Global War on Terror, the struggle to protect freedom from the terrorist adversary.". The Congress spent a lot of time yesterday debating this toothless resolution.
Aside from a huge waste of time, it did give the Democrates a chance to show that they have finally grown some balls. They were very angry at times (as they should be), and more than a few brought up the fact this war was based on intentional lies from the President. They also brought up the fact that real threat, Bin Ladin, was still out there and that Bush just "doesn’t’ think about him very much anymore".
The Republicans focused on instilling fear into the American people. They even tried to perpetuate the lie that Saddam had anything to do with 9/11. Republican Chris Smith from New Jersey actually said that, "Terrorists will impose dictatorship once again in Iraq if left unchecked.".
The Republicans have taken their place as the War Party and are trying to paint the Dems as the Pussy Party, but War is expensive. How much did you loose in the stock market last week?
